Reservation Service
There are 2 campsite reservation services in effect in Alberta's provincial campgrounds:
- Centralized online reservations: a confirmed 2010 site list
is available; additional sites may be added prior to the start of the 2010 camping season.
- Phone-in reservations: a tentative 2010 site list
is available; some of these sites may be added to the online reservation service in 2010.
Centralized Online Reservations
Reserve Online:www.Reserve.AlbertaParks.ca

- At campgrounds on the centralized online reservation service, reservations for the upcoming camping season begin 90 days prior to scheduled opening dates
of individual campgrounds; 2010 camping season dates to be determined.
- Reservations typically cease after the September long weekend, with some exceptions, see "reservations end dates"

- Reservations can be made, changed or cancelled online, by phone or in person at campgrounds on the centralized online system
.
- Online reservations contact centre (1-877-537-2757) – hours of operation for 2010 to be determined

Phone-In Reservations
- Phone-in reservations for the upcoming camping season begin the first business day in May & end after the September long weekend at most campgrounds, when they convert to “first come-first served†status, see "reservations end dates"
. - Phone-in reservations
can be made Monday-Friday from 8:15 am until 4:30 pm (link to tentative 2010 site list) - Phone-in reservations rules & procedures
Camping Fees
- Camping fees vary depending on facilities & services provided at individual campgrounds
- Alberta Parks fee schedule
- Site-specific camping fees

Rules/Procedures – Both Reservation Services
- Have the following information ready when you make your reservation:
- preferred campground (1st & 2nd choice)
- arrival & departure dates
- name & address
- telephone number (residence & business)
- type of equipment (i.e. tent, tent trailer, motor home)
- credit card number & expiry date
- A non-refundable $10.00 reservation fee is required to confirm reservations
- Your stay cannot exceed 16 consecutive nights
- Check-in time is normally 4:00 pm
Rules/Procedures – Centralized Online Reservations
- Full pre-payment of all overnight camping fees is required when you make your reservation.
- All reservations must be paid by credit card (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).
- All reservations made via the online reservation service are campsite-specific.
- Reservations can be made up to a maximum of 90 days in advance.
- There is a limit of 4 campsite reservations/transaction in any combination:
- 4 campsites at 1 campground for the same dates
- 1 campsite on 4 different dates at the same campground
- 4 different campsites on 4 different dates at the same campground
- 4 campsites at 4 different campgrounds
- 4 campsites at 1 campground for the same dates
- There is no limit to the number of times you can make up to 4 reservations.
- Multiple reservations must be made on 1 user account with 1 credit card.
- Groups requiring more than 4 campsites should consider reserving a group use area (group use reservations are not available online)
- The online reservation system allows only 1 camping accommodation unit per campsite:
- the campground operator can override this limitation at check-in if the campsite is large enough to accommodate a 2nd unit (you can also call ahead to find out if the campsite you have booked is large enough to accommodate more than one accommodation unit)
- additional camping fees are normally charged for the 2nd unit on a campsite, unless there is a tent in addition to the main accommodation unit & only 1 motor vehicle is registered to the campsite – in this case, there is no additional fee
- changes to campsite reservations:
- 1st change = free of charge
- subsequent changes = $3.00/change
- no charge for name or address changes
Late Arrivals/No-Shows
- Reservations are held until 2:00 pm of the day after the 1st scheduled night, at which time the campsite is released for resale
- "No show" campers forfeit 1st & 2nd night's fees
- Any remaining camping fees are refunded
- The $10.00 reservation fee is not refundable – it is retained to cover administrative costs
Cancellations/Refunds
- If a reservation is cancelled more than 24 hours before 2:00 pm on the scheduled arrival date, there is a full refund of pre-paid camping fees
- If a reservation is cancelled less than 24 hours before 2:00 pm on the scheduled arrival date, the 1st nights camping fee is forfeited
- In neither instance is the $10.00 reservation fee refunded
- Refunds to the credit card used to make the reservation are processed as quickly as possible
Technical Difficulties
- If you have problems making your reservation online, call 1-877-537-2757 to book by phone
Before you call, keep in mind:
- your user account must be set up before you begin the process of finding a campsite
- reservations can only be made a maximum of 90 days in advance of your planned arrival date
- the system allows only 1 camping accommodation unit per campsite
- there is a limit of 4 reservations/log-in
- multiple reservations must be made on 1 user account with 1 credit card
Rules/Procedures – Phone-In Reservations
- In addition to the non-refundable $10.00 reservation fee, a deposit equal to the first night's camping fee is required to confirm a reservation; MasterCard & Visa are the preferred methods of payment
- Although a specific campsite cannot be reserved, we try to accommodate such requests when possible
- Up to 4 reservations may be made at a time for the same date in the same campground
- At any given campground, only 1 active reservation may be held at a time; a new reservation for that campground can be made the day after the active reservation has expired
- Groups requiring more than 4 campsites should consider reserving a group use area
Cancellations/Refunds
- If a reservation is cancelled more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date, the deposit is refunded
- The $10.00 reservation fee is not refunded
Third-Party Reservations
- Reserving campsites through third parties is not recommended; the only way to guarantee a campsite is by booking through one of the Alberta Parks reservation services (centralized online service or phone-in service)
