Legal Land Description
Parkland Natural Region

This park was established in 1962 at the junction of Big Knife Creek and the Battle River, in an area once important to the Plains Indians. It was also the home of "One-eyed" Nelson, who had a moonshine operation at the site many years ago. The Battle River, which winds through the park, is ideal for boating.
Park designation date: October 2, 1962.
Camping Season: May 15 - September 15
Camping Fees: $18.00 per night
