This park is internationally recognized for shorebird migration. Other attractions include glistening lake waters, sport fishing and a beautiful sand dune setting.
Park designation date: January 8, 1957.

  • This park is part of the "Killarney, Dillberry & Leane Lakes Important Bird Area (IBA)"; this IBA is significant for several species of shorebirds; ducks, geese & swans are common on the waters of Dillberry Lake; shorebirds & herons frequent its shores; unusual mix of boreal species such as the hermit thrush, grassland species like the lark sparrow, & parkland species such as marsh wrens, yellow-haeded blackbirds, western meadowlarks & Sprague's pipits.
