The upgrading and construction projects begun in 2006 are on hold until the archaeological research is completed. Cadomin Cave/Whitehorse Wildland Park Trail Update - May 14, 2009 Cadomin Cave Trail was reopened on May 13/09. There is still significant snow accumulation on the upper portion of the trail, which can result in deep penetrations through the snow pack while hiking. Warming afternoon temperatures will increase trail difficulty levels. Hikers should exercise caution and avoid open bowls and gullies in the steep snow-loaded terrain. Trails in Whitehorse Wildland Park are snowbound, with most trails still covered with up to a metre of snow, making travel difficult and not recommended. |
